For us nonmembers, there is a demo for us to play! When you log in, you might see this screen… (Thanks Alice!) :)

Afterwards, you land on the sinking ship itself! This is certainly different, isn’t it? Once you talk to the captain, you get a screen saying: (Thanks SG!) :)

Looks more like a quest, don’t you think? This island certainly is different! After you save your first passenger in Room 6 and take him to the rescue camp, the demo ends and tells you the release date for all is 2/16/12! :D

Your Island Pack

Yes, as mentioned, the new SOS island is oficially released to the public. Very big deal to the Poptropica community. Members also have an exclusive access to an indept second story full with unprecedented twists and turns. So you can expect everyone to be out solving the synopsis of both tales as players set foot onto the new island.

What also came a bit earlier were the special Members Only packs. As you may have noticed, these come out with nearly every island. The sonar power lets you track your motion radar and see what other CPU’s or players are coming near you. The fishing pole is another nifty accessory that goes along with the theme of the island. Then of course you have your captain’s costume, dressed in full naval regalia. Splendid.

If you’re still reading this, you’re probably very excited. In this case, I recommend you go and feed it by treating yourself by taking a full dosage of the new SOS Island. So leave this page, and go beat that island ;)

The Wait Is Over

S.O.S. Island launches today for members!

Yes, that’s right! 2012′s first most-anticipated island is finally here – for members anyway. To remind you of what to expect and what you’ve been waiting for, here’s the trailer and description to refresh your memory!

When a whale-watching expedition strikes an iceberg, a pleasure cruise becomes a disaster scene. As the ship sinks deeper and deeper into the frigid waters of the North Atlantic, can you rescue everyone onboard before it’s too late?

Do I hear an after-school party at the PHC or am I just deaf? ;)

Also, with the launch of S.O.S., Black Widow informed us yesterday about three items for, yet again, members to look out for in the store: Sonar Power, Fishing Pole, and Sea Captain! Buy it, activate it, save it. It looks pretty fre$h.

Simply Trapped

We all know about the disastrous island to premiere less than 24 hours, right? I know it, you know it. It’s the one and only Save Our Souls Island! What seems to be the most active member of the PCB, Captain Crawfish has posted a screenshot of a certain obstacle you might run into in this dangerous island.

In over your head?

Don’t let the colorful jewelry and the crystal blue water trick you, y’all. If you look to the left, you see some French. Which reminds me of when we all called Counterfeit Island “French Island” because we had no idea. Looks like it topples over your poor Poptropican, but at least you get to look at something pretty while you figure how to get out.

Tomorrow is the day, Poptropicans. Our first island of 2012 is finally gonna be here.

Wolves In Cabins In Cages With Magicians

I decided to post about a very special and informative feature on Poptropica often neglected on this blog – Daily Pop’s Sneak Peeks! As I roamed, I screenshot five of some very interesting photos that looks like they need to be shared and could probably tell a lot about what to expect out of our favorite virtual game in 2012. Herrrreee weee go!

Behind Bars - Something here might hold the key to an entire adventure.

If you look very closely at the photo, you could see a golden key.

CC: *smacks MT behind his head* Of course, ignoramus! It’s very obvious.

MT: *rubs back of head* I was just trying to be helpful and informative – wait, where’d you even come from?

This could – obviously – be the start of an adventure. So, if a future island comes along and mentions various hints about a certain key *wink, wink*, remember this photo!

Escape Artist - This cage is impregnable, whether you want to get out or in.

MT: *puts on football helmet and protective gear* Okay, I’m ready.

This beautifully designed photo contains a Poptropican disguised in a Magician costume ( which happens to be available in the Poptropica Store for 75 Credits ;D ) trapped in a cage with a lock on it. Be warned, Poptropicans! You may get captured in the near future! Be careful and limit who you trust – especially Captains.

Hot Tickets - You don't get a first-run theater out here in the boonies.

I think I might be both excited and scared for a creepy island. The scariest part about this picture, I must say, is the Twilight poster. It gives me the shivers, man!  Back on topic, if you have no idea what boonies is, it basically means the middle of nowhere. Does this mean an abandoned island with magicians, keys, and cages? And do I see an iPhone? Oh wait, there’s more..

Hungry Like The Wolf - How a real wolf might become Poptropicanized.

I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight due to that hungry face the wolf is making towards me. If you thought the artists on Poptropica can’t draw because you think they actually draw people like that, you’re wrong! Very funny how my current Poptropican’s name is Happy Wolf, though these wolves do not look very happy. Does this mean an abandoned island with cages, keys, magicians, AND wolves? The only thing bad about this so far is Twilight. Don’t worry, it gets better..

A Cabin In The Woods - What a peaceful place to live. We hope.

Creators, I have no idea what’s peaceful about a moderately-beautiful cabin mysteriously vacant in the middle of nowhere. When they said that they hoped it would be peaceful, I got startled by the house – just like how I apparently get startled by everything.

CC: *sneaks up behind MT* Boo!

MT: *jumps high in the air, hangs by chandelier* That wasn’t funny! D:

I really need to wrap this up before I lose my cool. *breathes* You might be wondering, How could it NOT be peaceful? I mean it’s moderately-beautiful! Not that many people have cabins! There’s a crucifix on the door! And it looks very nice in the Winter! Your eyes could deceive you, especially on these islands. The Creators sure are tricky and they’ll just keep you guessing!

I hope you enjoyed this fun-to-make, carefully-typed post! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go fight a certain man by the name of Captain Crawfish!

More S.O.S. Island details leak out…

The release of S.O.S. Island draws ever closer. If you haven’t been keeping up with developments on our S.O.S. Island info page, then you may not have heard that this Island will include a special bonus quest for Members!
Everyone will still get the same great action and storytelling you expect from Poptropica — and S.O.S. Island has some amazing twists you’ve never seen before. But Members will get to go beyond the story, to find out what happens after the first tale is finished.
We’ll have more news about S.O.S. Island very soon!

We’re in for some merchandise

Just of recent a few new products have apparently been released into Poptropica’s Zazzle.com store. For all your viewing conveniences, it could be found here. They got everything Poptropica related for you die hard fans. Shirts, wall graphics, iPhone decorators. Name it, they got it.

These “few new products” include a multiplicity and assortment of posters. There’s only three made, but at least they got ‘em so far.

Simple, slick, explainitive…perfect. A picture can explain a thousand words after all. First up we got our Island Map poster. Needed to know any of the island layouts? No prob, bro. This’ll get you up to date with everything. It’s got every island in order and up to exact date, large scaled print size, and some cool looking graphics. Next up we got the medallions. Shiny, gold, and up to date as well. Almost looks like some sorta trophy chest had it not been on printed paper. Finally we have a group pic of all the hotshot characters in the game. Captain Crawfish, Dr. Hare, you name it as well.

For each picture you can select between sizes. You either pick small, medium or large. Prices vary. Then you can choose what kind of paper you want it on – Value Poster Paper, Premium Canvas, etc. Again, prices will vary. You can also see snapshots/images of how this looks on your room framed and all. Lastly, you can even get it framed for a low low price of starting at 85.30 dollars. A little overboard, creators? This isn’t a Nobel Peace Prize xD.

Before I go, some of you may have lost me somewhere upon seeing the guy posting was titled “Rainbow Dash”. Yeah, sounds feminine, I know. That’s because on a quick other note before I end this post: yeah, I changed my name to Rainbow Dash. My old name was EP if some of you remember me posting. And I also changed my profile appearance picture to “Rainbow Dash” from The My Little Pony series. Shock. I know. And very bluntly, that’s because I’ve actually started watching the MLP: Friendship is Magic show. My first question is going to be probably this: why? I don’t know in truth, mainly because ponies are pretty epic, especially when they’re potrayed in some 7 year old’s cartoon. So I guess I’m just saying this to let you know basically that I got my identity and name changed on all my online users, that I won’t be online very much for the next few months mainly because of this and other things like MLP outside of this online community, and I’m most likely not going to be posting in awhile or never so often in truth. Just please don’t mistake me for a new author or something, since RD isn’t. So that’s it, my little note. Thanks for reading.  And before I go, just to put a little happiness and fun into everyone’s day, here’s a MLP gif from online

Caution! Keep out!

I know you’ll break the rules and sneak into this post anyway! :D So, here’s the scoop. Remember that weird icon on the Poptropica bar with the store and stuff a few posts back? They have another sneak peek just like that!
