Switch is a mini game on Poptropica, but it is not known to be very popular because it is not multiplayer like the other games. This is an example of what the Switch game card looks like:

Starting the Game
To start a game of Switch, go to your Games inventory and choose the “Switch” card. It is the second card listed. At the bottom of its game card, you’ll see a white button that says “Play This Game”. Click on it and the instructions will come up. Click on the green “Play Now” button to begin the game!

• Note: You can play Switch anywhere, regardless of whether you’re in a multiplayer room or not. The only place you can’t play Switch at is in between places, because you can’t access the Games inventory there.

How To Play
Swap the position of any two adjacent fruits by clicking on them with your mouse. If you can connect three or more fruits in a row, the fruit will vanish, and you’ll score points! The more fruits you can clear with a single move, the more points you’ll earn!

Gameplay
Different fruits are lined up in a 9 x 7 grid, which means there are 63 fruits on the board. The game is 60 seconds (1 minute) long. There are 5 different kinds of fruits:

• Orange
• Watermelon
• Strawberry
• Lime
• Lemon

Point System
Points are awarded depending on how many fruits you clear in a single move. Fruits must have at least 3 of the same kind in a row or column to be awarded any points. An example of being awarded points, as shown below, is by switching the places of a strawberry and another different fruit. This created a column of four strawberries together, which awarded +40 points for each strawberry in the column, or 160 points. Likewise, it would be +30 for each fruit (90 points) if they were in a group of 3, +50 for each fruit (250 points) if they were in a group of 5, and so on.

Player Tips

• By Neat Whale :
  Try to find ways to make double switches. Also try to make them long.
• By Calm Spinner:
  When playing Switch, don’t spend so much time solving what will happen after you switch one. If you find one, switch it.
• By Zany Dragon:
  Keep an eye out for  fruits close to each other. Those can probably be made into a row. Also, keep an eye on the time and your score. If time is running out and your score isn’t high, you’ll need to hurry. Of course, if you’re doing single-player, this doesn’t necessarily count. Just rack up as many points as possible.
